Two tips for couples who've booked all-inclusive wedding event venues

Blog

Here are two tips a couple should follow if they've booked an all-inclusive wedding event venue.

They should read through every detail of the all-inclusive package they've selected

When couples book hotels that function as all-inclusive wedding venues, they'll usually be provided with an extremely detailed list of what's included in their wedding package. Venues of this kind will always try to be as transparent as possible in their description of the selected package. However, because the package will feature so many different things (such as decor for the ceremony and reception, music, furniture, table linens, catering, guest accommodation and wedding signage), it could be easy for a couple to overlook some of the smaller details.

By examining their chosen package closely, couples can then see if there are any adjustments they'd like to make (many all-inclusive wedding event venues will often allow couples to upgrade or customise their packages for an extra fee). For example, if the package brochure states that each bouquet on the wedding reception tables will feature six roses, and the couple would prefer fuller bouquets, they could ask to upgrade their package to include a dozen roses in each vase. Likewise, if the package includes the provision of a music sound system for the reception area, that will have four large speakers, but the couple would like there to be speakers placed outside the reception area as well so their guests could dance outdoors, they could put in a request for two additional speakers. Making these small changes could make the couple's experience of having their wedding in this venue all the more special.

They should discuss the timeline for making selections related to their all-inclusive wedding package

Any couple who books a hotel or other venue that offers this service should talk to the venue management about the timeline for making selections related to their package. Whilst one of the reasons couples often choose all-inclusive wedding venues is to reduce the number of decisions they need to make about their wedding, they will still usually need to make some choices related to their package.

For example, they may need to provide a playlist of songs they want to be played at the reception; the hotel wedding coordinator may need this list at least a month before the wedding so they can ensure that the DJ can source the required records in time for the event. Similarly, even if the couple has opted for the wedding package's set menu, they may still need to give the hotel's catering team time to make adjustments to it, if some of their guests require gluten-free versions of the dishes on the set menu. It might, for example, take the caterer a week or two to stock up on the gluten-free artisanal pasta they need for the main course. By asking the venue's wedding coordinator the date by which they need to make certain decisions related to their package, the couple can avoid the stress of making their selections at the last minute or missing these important deadlines.

Having a Happy Hotel Experience

Hello! My name is Daniel. I hope that the words I have published on this blog will help you to have a happy hotel experience. I started this blog after an 8-week stay in a premier hotel in downtown Sydney. I was in town for business and my client was picking up the bill so I got to stay in a super cool place. During my stay, I got friendly with some of the staff and they gave me some advice about the steps I should take to find the best hotel accommodation. Read on to find out more. Enjoy!
